01. Long curing period: Cold-process soap commonly cures for about 4–6 weeks, while some olive-oil-heavy soaps, such as Castile soap, may benefit from several months or even close to a year of aging. During that time, the maker has already paid for oils, packaging, labor, and storage but cannot sell the finished product yet
02. Improved bar quality: As water gradually evaporates, the soap becomes harder, milder, and longer-lasting. An aged bar usually gives customers more usable washes than a freshly cured, softer bar
